Description
FERRY SERVICE TO GOVERNORS ISLAND IS MANAGED BY THE TRUST FOR GOVERNORS ISLAND AND OPERATED BY A COMPETITIVELY PROCURED PRIVATE FERRY OPERATOR. THE TRUST OWNS FOUR VESSELS THAT PROVIDE FERRY SERVICE TO GOVERNORS ISLAND. THE PROJECT WILL PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THE FERRY OPERATOR TO PERFORM TASKS RELATED TO VESSEL OPERATIONS, FUELING, VESSEL MAINTENANCE, FARE COLLECTION, FERRY LANDING MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTIONS, AND MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL AND STRUCTURAL REPAIRS RELATED TO THOSE LANDINGS. (FBP FUNDS USED FROM 2018, 2023 & 2024)
