Description

THE FUNDING WILL FUND THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SHORESIDE POWER INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDED TO ALLOW THE NEW FERRY (UNDER CONSTRUCTION) TO OPERATE IN ZERO-EMISSIONS MODE IN DAILY SERVICE. THIS POWER INFRASTRUCTURE WILL ALSO SUPPORT FUTURE FERRIES THE TRUST FOR GOVERNOR¿S ISLAND (TGI) WILL ACQUIRE AND/OR THE CONVERSION OF ITS EXISTING TWO DIESEL FERRIES TO HYBRID PROPULSION.
