RT 30 BRIDGE OVER EAST BRANCH DELAWARE RIVER
Project ID No. 904480
Description
This project replaces the bridge that carries Route 30 over the East Branch of the Delaware River in the town of Margaretville, Delaware County. Raising and/or relocating the bridge will help mitigate flooding. The project will also add piles to a scour critical bridge improving resiliency to extreme weather events and other natural disasters.
Issue Description:
A detailed hydraulic analysis will be needed to determine the appropriate amount to raise the bridge, which will have significant implications for the cost of the project. The current project cist is a planning level estimate based on assumptions made prior to a detailed hydraulic analysis.
