C/O RYE - LOCUST AVE BRIDGE OVER BLIND BROOK
Project ID No. 876317
Description
This project will replace the structure that carries Locust Avenue over Blind Brook in the City of Rye in Westchester County. This project seeks to replace the structure due to its flood induced deterioration including surface spalls, cracks, and heavy efflorescence along the concrete abutments and girders. To prevent future flooding, the new bridge will be slightly elevated and widened 10 ft. on each side for a total span of 50 ft. Approximately 30-foot sections of the channel, upstream and downstream on each side, will be regraded to further increase the carrying capacity of the bridge.
