ULSTER & DELAWARE RAIL CORRIDOR PHASE I: HIGHMOUNT TO GIGGLE HOLLOW

Description
The project will convert a portion of the unused U&DRR corridor into a 2.5 mi multi-use trail from Highmount to the Belleayre Beach DUA near Pine Hill in the Town of Shandaken. The project will remove existing RR infrastructure and construct a 10'-12' width ADA-compliant trail with 2' shoulders consisting of crushed stone base- and top-courses, rehabilitate the historic Giggle Hollow and Woodchuck Hollow bridges, and install necessary earthwork, drainage, railing, and access road improvements.
