RT 284 PAVING, RESILIENCY & SAFETY ENHANCEMENTS, ORANGE CO

This project will repave State Route 284 from the New Jersey state line to County Route 1 in the Town of Minisink and the Village of Unionville in Orange County. The work would also rehabilitate drainage structures, replace a small culvert north of the paving limits, repair adjacent slopes, address pedestrian concerns in the Village of Unionville, traffic safety concerns at intersections, and make sight distance enhancements where funding allows.

Project Status

• The current status of the project is In Development.
• The Bid Opening is expected to be in Fall 2026.
• Construction is expected to begin in Winter 2026/2027.
• Construction is expected to be completed in Spring 2028.

The project cost is approximately $9,500,000 .
