Bridge Where & When

This project proposes to provide maintenance or structural repairs to various bridges elements to maintain their reliability and integrity and help assure the continued safety of the traveling public in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Work will be assigned on an as-needed basis to bridges throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties.  In addition, the following bridges will be included in this project:  1. Loop Parkway Drawbridge over Long Creek in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County 2. Meadowbrook State Parkway Drawbridge over Sloop Channel in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County  3. Locust Avenue over NY27 (Sunrise Highway) in the Town of Islip, Suffolk County  4. Hawkins Avenue over Interstate 495 (Long Island Expressway) in the Town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County 5. Ronkonkoma Avenue Bridge Over Interstate 495 (Long Island Expressway) in the Town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County

Estimated Substantial Completion Date - This is the day the public (including vehicles and pedestrians) has full and unrestricted use and benefit of the facilities both from the operational and safety standpoint.
