Bridge Deck Replacement

Project ID No. 0BDP01 , Contract Number D264563

Description

This project proposes to replace the deteriorating steel grid deck on the drawbridge spans of the Meadowbrook Parkway Drawbridge and the Loop Parkway drawbridge.  Minor steel repairs in the drawbridge span of the Loop Parkway bridge will also be undertaken, where necessary, to prevent a future load posting of the bridge. The proposed work will preserve and prolong the service life of these existing structures and help maintain their reliability and integrity to assure the continued safety of the traveling public.  Town of Hempstead, Nassau County.Legal Notice to Mariners about schedule deviations for the Loop and Meadowbrook drawbridges during construction.https://www.dot.ny.gov/news/traveler-advisories/2023/2023-01-31
