Description

This project proposes to reconstruct approximately 250 curb ramps within 46 intersections to bring curb ramps up to American with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards in the Village of Garden City. This will increase pedestrian connectivity within the village. Also proposed are drainage improvements, signage relocation, new crosswalks and stop bars. Four raised crosswalks located at Country Life Press Long Island Rail Road station to Locust School and Grove Park will be installed to facilitate safer pedestrian crossings and help calm traffic.
