Description

This project proposes replacing the bridge deck with a new deck, replacing the bridge rail with new concrete parapet walls, bridge painting, and minor steel repairs on the Interstate 495 (Long Island Expressway) eastbound bridge over the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) in the Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County. The proposed work will extend the service life of this bridge and help maintain its reliability and integrity to assure the continued safety of the traveling public.
